We all know about Thanksgiving Turkey. But have you heard about a turkey casserole? Yes, you can make a delicious, filling casserole with turkey. Most of the times, we have leftover turkey from either Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. That’s when you can make good use of the leftover and prepare a mouth watering casserole.

* Turkey casserole with noodles: Start by sautéing onions and sliced mushroom in a saucepan with butter. Add a can of cream of mushroom soup, some milk and a teaspoon of curry powder. If you have poultry seasoning, you can use a teaspoon of that as well. Now combine cooked and diced turkey, cooked noodles and frozen peas in a buttered casserole. Add the mixture in the sauce pan. Then top it with shredded cheese and bake for about 30 minutes. This is a complete meal.

* Leftover turkey casserole: If you have a lot of turkey leftover from the Thanksgiving dinner, then this is the recipe for you. Melt some butter in a saucepan, stir in all-purpose flour till no lumps are formed, and add evaporated milk and water. Then season it with salt and pepper. Place the leftover turkey on a greased casserole; spread the sauce and leftover stuffing. You can also spread mashed potatoes and grated cheese. Bake for about 45 minutes in a preheated oven. This recipe can be altered according to your taste by adding more spices to the sauce.

A turkey casserole is usually prepared when there is leftover turkey. It’s just impossible to finish up a whole turkey in Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. There is always some leftover. These turkey casseroles are really great for the day after. And somehow they taste even more delicious.
